Kingsway Care Home is a private care home,registered with the Care Quality Commission.
The Home is a detached,double fonted,house of rendered brick construction.Located with it`s front on Bilston Lane,the B4590,about half of a mile from the Black country motorway,Junction 10, about 2 mile away. It is in a quiet residential area,within half a mile of willenhall town centre.
It has recently been converted for use as a care home,is well planned and tastefully decorated. It comprises of Eleven single rooms all having en-suite facilities to exceed the national care standards. They are individually decorated and furnished ,whilst allowing space for the service user to bring small items of their own furniture,pictures and omaments,that would compliment the already excellently designed room and give it that homely touch.
There are many local amenities close by,such as the Range supermarket,five minutes drive away,the new Asda superstore in Darlaston is ten minutes away.There are general practitioners,clinics,dentists and a local pharmacy.
There are several places of worship (churches) and public houses within easy walking distance.
A full range of service and activities are available for the service Users inside and outside of the home,complimented by the experience of the proprietor in caring for adults with a learning disability.
There is a well laid out garden with ratio area for dining out and relaxation during the summer months.
Service Users individuality,privacy,dignity and choice are the core of the care and support offered at Kingsway Care Home.
Support staff are on duty 24 hours per day,as we endeavour to enable service users to achieve / attain their maximum potential in a caring warm and friendly environment.
Staff training and the development of their skills, to appropriately support and care for service users,will be on going within and outside of the home.
Personal Laundry is done in the home`s laundry room.Arrangements can be made to send special items of clothing for dry cleaning, the cost will be charged to the service user.Personal items must be securely labeled.
A minimum of three meals,with a choice of menu,and snacks as required,fruits,Vegetables, and liberal drinks are provided.
Special diets can be catered for.
If a service User attends a day centre we will provide payment for their meal at the centre.
Holistic well being of service users will be maintained .Arrangements can be made for our caring staff to escort service users for visits to local doctors` surgeries,dentists,hospitals etc.
Kingsway Care Home complies with all fire,health and safety,Food Hygiene regulations and adheres to the national minimum standards according to the care standards Act 2008.
What we do
Our modern, purpose built environment is close to Willenhall town centre, and local transport links make it easy for residents to enjoy getting out and about with the help of our friendly and caring staff.
Our Menu
All meals are included for however long you plan to spend with us, this consists of a daily cooked breakfast, lunch, team and snacks in-between.
Our Chef or Cook will ask you daily your preferences and this will be made fresh to order. We have an optional menu in case the main meal is not a favourite.
Our Activities
We have a weekly activity schedule which you will find included in this pack but also offer some regularly planned extras which many residents find fantastic.
Such as Monthly entertainment in the form of singers and entertainers, traditional fish and chips, trips out on a 1:1 basis.
Each resident will be able to complete an activity checklist for us to be able to formulate your bespoke programme.
