Kingsway Care Home is a private care home,registered with the Care Quality Commission, The Independent regulator of health and social care in England. Owner managed by Mrs Deborah fatile,a registered nurse with over 30 years
experience in nursing and caring.Her staff,a team of assistants with qualifications in care.
Deborah is commited to person centered planning,which places the service user at the centre of their care and support at Kingsway Care Home . Every service user will be expected to have had a planning meeting priop to moving into kingway,otherwise as soon as possible she will initiate a person centered planning meeting via the local authority that places the service user in the home.
To Promote independence,service users were encourage to maintain their own room,helping in household chores and in the preparation of meals. They will also be expected to participate in the running of the home.With weekly house meetings to agree a chioce of activities for the week etc.

Aims
Kingsway Care Home aims to provide all Residents with a life that is as normal as possible, giving them the opportunity to make their own choices, giving consideration to their individual health and needs.
The staff are trained to offer friendly assistance when needed and to encourage independence whenever possible. We aim to provide all residents with care and support in a safe warm and healthy environment without intruding on their dignity, privacy or independence and without destroying our homely atmosphere.
Objectives
To ensure that assessments of need will be used to develop individual care plans with the objective of meeting the aims of the home for each resident.
To provide each resident, with a home, equipment and competent staff to enable the aims and objectives of the home become a reality.

The rights of a resident to be left alone and undisturbed whenever they wish.

The understanding of a residents needs and treating them with respect.

Allowing a resident to make their own decisions and think and act for themselves.

Giving a resident the opportunity to select for themselves from a range of alternatives options.

Keeping all basic human rights available to the resident.

Enabling the resident to release their own aims and helping them to achieve these goals in all aspects of daily living.
